The topics of digitalization and sustainability now go hand in hand. By using digital tools, such as the digital guest directory from Gastfreund, we save a lot of printing costs and paper that would otherwise be incurred for classic paper folders, notes, flyers and brochures. On the other hand, the issue of environmental protection is also an important point for more and more guests. Many environmentally conscious people want to avoid unnecessary paper, plastic or cleaning on vacation and pay attention to sustainability seals when booking. But that's not all: guests can even use our digital guest directory to cancel their daily room cleaning or towel change. Conversely, this also means less water consumption, energy costs, cleaning products and working hours for us.

There are 3 charging stations available for your electric car. Your room card automatically activates the charging process and you are billed per KW. Billing takes place upon departure.

We are currently aiming for the highest sustainability certification in tourism, the GSTC certification (Global Sustainable Tourism Council). The “Earth Check” advisory group helps us in the certification process by measuring our Co² emissions by providing our emissions data. Measures are also recommended so that we can continuously improve.

All of our coffees are organically grown and Fairtrade certified. This coffee has been grown by Fairtrade producers, certified and traded according to Fairtrade standards. Total share 100%. All products marked "Organic" are subject to the EU Organic Regulation, controlled by IT BIO 006 - company number 01057B. All products marked “Flo” are Fairtrade certified. FLO ID: 24909.

Here in Plan de Gralba you can drink spring water still or sparkling. Treatment with the water treatment system, which is installed directly in front of the dispensing system, creates excellent water of the highest quality and unique taste.

When it comes to delivering food, we attach great importance to sourcing it from suppliers in the immediate area. For example, our potatoes come from the Pustertal, our eggs from the Kohlstätterhof in Petersberg, the flour from the Schlössl mill in Bozen, the milk from the Mila in Bozen, coffee from the coffee roastery in Schreyögg and much more... The main idea is certainly to avoid long transport routes and thus protect the climate and reduce our CO² consumption.

This also has several positive side effects:

• New jobs are created and secured
• We are sure that all workers are treated fairly and receive a regular and fair income
• Purchasing power remains in the country

Give your car a break while on holiday - Val Gardena makes it possible!

In Val Gardena, numerous excursion destinations can be easily reached both in the warm season and in winter by public transport, with the lifts, on foot and, in summer, by bike. So feel free to leave your own vehicle at your accommodation and use the mobility on site or the free Val Gardena Mobil Card - exclusively for guests of member companies of the Val Gardena tourism associations. It includes free use of most public transport.

Because we focus on biodiversity, organic wines, biodynamics and sustainable winemakers, we are present in the Slow Wine Guide 2024.

High-quality materials and the desire to combine modern demands on the living space with comfort and sustainability were the basic idea of ​​the furnishing concept. Our rooms primarily use local building materials such as local larch, spruce and silver quartzite.

Our earth is a precious commodity. We want to do our part to preserve it for the future.

Our drinks menu in the bar - but also our wine list, etc. - are made from FSC-certified climate-neutral paper, which is obtained from sustainable forestry. Forestry companies must ensure that the forest is only used to the extent that long-term sustainable use is guaranteed and that appropriate afforestation takes place in relation to the use. This means that only what can be replanted is felled.

Our house consists of 90% LED lamps.

Advantages of LED lamps:

• very low power consumption (6 times less than conventional light bulbs)
• without mercury and other substances hazardous to health
• high luminous efficacy possible
• long service life of the LED lamps (up to 50,000 hours)
• no switch-on delay (the case with energy-saving lamps)

Refillability: The cosmetic products are refillable, which means that you can easily refill the empty containers with environmentally friendly refill packs. This not only reduces packaging waste, but also saves money and resources.

Longevity: The refillable shower gel dispensers, shampoo dispensers and shampoo dispensers are durable and of high quality. Compared to single-use plastic bottles, they last longer and need to be replaced less often, which not only reduces environmental impact but also saves money.

Whether it's refillable dispensers for shower gel and hair shampoo instead of mini bottles, straws, slippers without plastic packaging, or a waste separation system in the room: we have numerous environmentally friendly alternatives to stop the flood of plastic in the hotel. Switching to digital and, if possible, paperless administration is also a way to avoid plastic. This saves you empty printer cartridges and plastic containers for toner etc., as well as tons of paper waste.

The correct way to avoid and correctly separate waste also needs to be learned. We therefore inform and train our employees about the measures that need to be implemented in our company to avoid plastic and separate waste.

We separate organic, cardboard, paper, plastic, cans, glass and residual waste.

For a long time it was a natural part of every hotel room and it was hard to imagine life without it: the minibar. However, expensive luxury is not only harmful to the environment, it is often simply unnecessary. Did you know that a so-called minibar uses almost four times as much electricity as a classic household refrigerator? It only has a quarter of the volume. You could say anything but efficient, right? A minibar runs even when there are no guests in the room and also produces a lot of garbage. Why? Because the small water bottles, champagne bottles and soft drinks as well as snacks and sweets in small format create much more packaging waste than a normal-sized pack or bottle. It is now clear that by not having a minibar you save a lot of CO2 and waste. That's why we want to forego a certain level of comfort!

You won't find air conditioning here. Why? We are at 1800m above sea level. With us you will find the natural and fresh mountain air.

We only work with heat pumps and heat recovery, but Mother Nature takes care of the cooling.

Solar energy is one of the renewable, clean energies. In contrast to fossil energy sources such as gas or coal, solar energy is available indefinitely, the resource is inexhaustible - and good for the environment! A solar system with 140kWp output is installed on our roof.

In the summer months, around 9 megawatt hours of electricity are produced each month. In the winter months, however, around 2 megawatt hours per month.
